OPERATING PRINCIPLES
- Lightweight plastic film plant enclosures attached to tensioned wires and ropes held clear off the ground to avoid rodent attack, flood damage, optimal picking height, etc.
- Water, nutrient and RNA delivery to plants in fogs produced by novel fog generators (patented) <20 ┬Ám-sized droplets which travel through growth chambers.
- Fogs humidify, cool, frost protect (latent heat of fusion effect) & reflect heat (albedo effect)
- Electrically charged fogs (patented) stimulate plant growth and increase crop yields
- Growing conditions automatically controlled and remotely monitored to ensure growth conditions are maintained as near optimal as possible at all times
- Complete crop growth cycle stages involving seeding, pollinating, harvesting, removal of crops & straw collection automatically for successive harvests over several years

ADVANTAGES
- Water efficient: +85% less than field cultivation
- High degree of control over crop growing conditions & radically reduced grower risk levels
- High productivity per unit area of ground (10 to 30 times higher than normal e.g. potatoes)
- Faster growth - allowing year round multi-cropping
- Soilless and suitable for use on steep slopes/rocky terrain with no ground preparation
- Low environmental impact and safe - no chemicals
- Low capital and operating costs - lightweight (components are easy to carry) and low labour requirement
- Resilient - e.g. designed to cope with most climate change effects and side effects
- Utilisation of fertiliser 100% - e.g. no loss to soil or ground water contamination by nitrates
- Adaptable - wide range of food crops can be grown e.g. rice, potatoes, wheat, oats, etc.
- Each growth chamber is 30m long x 1.2m and suspended off the ground, minimising material use as apart from end posts, all in tension. In order to get access, neighbouring chambers are tilted away from eachother to open up an isle.
